She comes to the yard at dusk, quiet and careful, nibbling at the grass like she’s done it a hundred times before. Like the world is safe.
There’s something about her, this small wild thing with no reason to trust me, who shows up anyway. Soft, alert, whole.
I drew her because I couldn’t stop thinking about how vulnerable she is and how strong. How easily we overlook the gentlest things, even when they’re right in front of us. I transferred that sketch into silver as an etching.
I painted California poppies beneath her feet. They’ve always felt like symbols of resilience, delicate, fleeting, and still, somehow, full of fire.
This piece is for anyone who’s ever felt small in a loud world.
For those who keep showing up anyway.
Soft-hearted. Wide-eyed. Blooming in spite of it all.

Fun fact:
Vitreous enamel, a technique cherished for centuries, traces its origins back to ancient civilizations like the Egyptians, who adorned jewelry with its vibrant hues as far back as 1500 BCE. What sets vitreous enamel apart is not just its rich history but also its remarkable durability. Crafted from fused glass, the colors are permanently bonded to the metal base, ensuring they never scratch off or fade over time. This fusion of glass and metal creates jewelry that not only dazzles with its timeless beauty but also stands strong against the wear and tear of everyday life.

Care for your Enamel Jewelry:
I have chosen high-quality materials to create a piece of artful jewelry that will last a lifetime. Even though they will be so comfortable, you might forget they are there, try not to bathe or swim with them. Moisture from the water will cause your silver to darken very quickly, especially chlorine. Next, put on perfume or body spray before your jewelry, and lastly, I recommend removing it before using cleaning products. Many will cause silver to darken from the fumes, and some can even hurt your enamel, so to be careful, I always recommend removing all jewelry. A beautiful care card will come with your jewelry.
