Each piece begins as a sketch, drawn from wild flowers, a joyful fox, the shimmer of a butterfly’s wings, or the quiet presence of a bird. From these drawings, I cut and shape the copper canvases, each one a unique foundation for the design. Layer by layer, I freehand paint the fine details using finely ground glass and painting oil, blending the colors across the surface. The true transformation happens inside a 1450° kiln or torch, where intense heat fuses the glass to the metal, turning the fragile powder into a smooth, luminous finish with a rich, unfading depth. Once complete, these miniature works of art find their home in fine silver settings, carrying the story of nature told through fire and imagination.
