California poppies have always felt like little bursts of sunshine to me. Bright, cheerful, and impossible not to smile at.
Each bloom begins as a hand-cut form that I layer with vitreous enamel in deep, glowing oranges and warm golden tones. At the center of each flower, turquoise is set like a small piece of sky, bringing a cool, grounding contrast to the warmth of the petals.
Handcrafted sterling silver stems rise above each bloom, adding detail and a sense of lift that feels both delicate and strong.
And my favorite part? The flowers spin. It’s a small detail, but one that brings these blooms to life.
It never fails to make me smile.
