California poppies have always felt like little bursts of sunshine to me. Bright, cheerful, and impossible not to smile at.
Each bloom begins as a hand-cut flower that I paint with layers of vitreous enamel, creating rich shades of deep orange and warm golden tones. At the center, intricate details draw the eye inward, while handcrafted sterling silver poppy stems add movement and texture above each blossom.
And my favorite part? The flowers spin. It's a small detail, but one that brings these blooms to life and never fails to make me smile.
